Following market requests for more and more automation either to boost production or for safety issues (handling big sheets of glass), Elettromeccanica Bovone expanded and integrated its range of products offering Robotic Systems. Robots can be supplied as stand-alone, applied to existing edgers, or as customized islands composed of two machines and two robots, working without any operator.

Productivity goes together with automation and process integration: BRS is the top choice to achieve all this in one system. With regards to edging, having two machines with a robotic handling and feeding means no need of operator intervention while working, and production at speeds impossible to reach with manual handling. With BRS, you can automate not just the edging process but integrate this in the whole production flow: it can receive and feed slabs and information to and from other machines such as washers, vertical drills, dubbing devices in order to create a real full automated production facility able to work operator-free.

The integration of robot inside a Bovone line leads to enormous advantages, the two foremost being:
– High productivity
– Increased safety for the operators as they do not have to handle large plates themselves
Edgers can be equipped with one robot or tailor-made based on customer needs to build up a high production island made of two edgers with automatic wheels adjustment and two robots. The BRS system has the possibility to be upgraded as customer’s facilities grow over time, both by adding a second robot or adding other machinery ante or post: a washer, veritcal drill, dubbing device etc. BRS can also be fitted  on existing machines, making their purchase convenient and budget-friendly
